Plesk is a popular web hosting platform that makes it easier for administrators to set up and manage websites. Its offering Plesk 360 empowers users to Monitor & Manage Servers more effectively. With its features like fully integrated site & server monitoring helps users keep track of performance and prevent downtime.
If you use Plesk 360 for monitoring and management requirements, you can integrate it with Squadcast, an end-to-end Incident Response tool, to route detailed alerts from Plesk 360 to the right users in Squadcast.
Step1: In Squadcast, navigate to Services, then to Service Overview and select or search for your Service. Expand the accordion and in the Alert Sources section, click Add.
Step2: Select Plesk 360. Copy the displayed Webhook URL to configure it within Plesk 360. Finish by clicking Add Alert Source, finally click Done.
Please Note: When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources, you can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source. An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.
Step1: From the Home page in Plesk 360, click on the Monitoring tab in the top right corner.
Step2: Switch to the Alert tab, click on Contact and click on NEW CONTACT button.
Step3: Enter a Name for the Contact in the Name field and scroll down a little. Under Webhook URL, paste the Plesk 360 webhook copied from Squadcast.
Step4: Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Save.
Step1: Within the Alerts page, switch to the Alerts tab. Here, you can either create a new Alert or modify your existing Alerts to send notifications to Squadcast via the previously configured Webhook URL.
Step2: Make sure to add the Squadcast Notification Webhook under Alert Recipients. Repeat the same for all your other Alerts.
Step3: In the same window, click on Show Advanced Options. Here, enable both the Alert Opens and Alert Closes checkboxes as shown in the screenshot below and click Save.
And that’s it. You are good to go. Now, each time there is an alert for your server in Plesk 360, the alert will be sent to Squadcast and an incident will be triggered, notifying the right people. Similarly, if the alert gets resolved within Plesk 360, it will get auto-resolved in Squadcast as well.
Plesk 360 is a popular monitoring and management tool that helps you keep track of important metrics and prevents downtime. Integrating Plesk 360 with Squadcast can help your organization in routing detailed alerts and enhance your Incident Management process.
