We are on the cusp of breaking into 2023🗓️with a bag full of interesting memories. Before we wrap up this year end's celebrations we'd like to look back and highlight some notable events that took place at Squadcast.  

Squadcast has grown leaps and bounds over the 12 months in our journey towards becoming an integrated Reliability Workflow platform. 😎

Squadcast Brand Refresh

To mark the start of a new era at Squadcast, we saw Squadcast's identity getting a new look and feel. Our BRAND REFRESH conveys trust and simplicity in a playful, energetic way - representing our team and product. Get a behind-the-scenes look at our makeover and what it means to our customers' experiences.

TRUE Reliability

It’s not just our website’s new look & feel which is impressive, but also our powerful Incident Response and easy-to-use on-call features along with SRE workflows that help in achieving TRUE Reliability.


Talking of features, we at Squadcast do not believe in resting on our laurels. The last 12 months saw us getting busy and committed to delivering interesting new features and product updates. Among many other additions, here’s a list of our most exciting features:

Product Updates

Service Catalog

We re-designed our Service Catalog to offer users a smoother experience while configuring services in Squadcast. The updated service dashboard provides a consolidated summary of all active services from a centralized location. It helps in:

  • Improving ownership of Services
  • Providing an accurate snapshot of Service health
  • Classifying Services intuitively based on Tags

Updated Terraform Provider

Our updated Terraform provider can help you create and manage Squadcast's resources at scale. Using configuration as code makes it easier for your On-call and SRE teams to create/edit escalation policies, manage services, add/ delete users at scale, and much more.

Webforms - a modern alternative to Live-call Routing

With our Webforms feature users from outside the Squadcast ecosystem can report incidents by filling out a simple form. This can help organizations extend customer support by empowering internal stakeholders and customers to report issues on the go.

SLO Tracker

Integrated with Squadcast incident management, the SLO Tracker simplifies  SLO and Error budget tracking with capabilities like:

  • Pre-defined alerting, monitoring and burn rate checks for error budget breaches
  • Reclaiming error budget for false positive events
  • Better tracking of SLO-violating incidents
  • Configuring and aggregating SLI data from multiple sources

New & improved Analytics

We understand how crucial analyzing incidents is to fostering learning & growth. Here

are the improvements made to our ‘Incident Analytics’ feature:

  • Analyze incident data at both Organization-level & Team-level
  • Better Visualization with graphs: MTTA & MTTR, Alert noise reduction, Incident count by Name, Tags, Alert sources, and so on
  • One-click export of your analytics data & much more

Incident Watchers

With the Incident Watchers feature, you can now subscribe to granular updates of an incident’s lifecycle right from acknowledgement to resolution. Tag users, squads, or teams with varying levels of incident lifecycle details using a simple toggle and receive email updates without having to log into your Squadcast account.

Runbooks

In order to avoid delays associated with scrambling between multiple tools and tabs to find the right checklist, Squadcast brings to you Runbooks. This feature will help you access the relevant Runbook, associate it with incidents and assign tasks to relevant users. This is just the start of our ‘Runbooks’ feature, which will evolve with more automation capabilities in the coming months.

Community Portal

We understand the importance of collaboration between like-minded individuals and industry peers. Keeping that in mind we launched our Community Portal for users to share their challenges and experience. The more members interact with each other by asking questions and posting solutions, the more resourceful it will become for the broader developer community.
