Integration Details
Integration Steps

To set up an integration between Squadcast and Hydrozen.io

  1. Within the Hydrozen.io dashboard, navigate to the "Notification Handlers" tab.
  2. Click "Create notification handler" and choose "Squadcast" from the notification type list.
  3. Within the Squadcast platform, locate the relevant service where you want to receive Hydrozen.io alerts and navigate to its settings. Copy the unique webhook URL displayed.
  4. In Hydrozen.io, paste the copied Squadcast webhook URL into the designated field and configure the desired notification settings.

Key Features

Once the integration is up & running, you can:

  1. Create Incidents Automatically: Whenever Hydrozen.io detects an issue, a corresponding incident will be automatically created in Squadcast
  2. Create context-rich incidents: Leverage detailed information from Hydrozen.io alerts, including nature of the incident, affected pages and timestamp, to populate Squadcast incidents with context for faster resolution
  3. Create Incident-specific War rooms: Consolidate all relevant information, including Hydrozen.io alert details, troubleshooting steps, and team discussions, within dedicated Squadcast war rooms.
  4. The integration also supports Auto-resolution meaning incidents will get resolved automatically when Hydrozen.io reports a monitored asset as back online.

We have full control over on-call issues as every user has access to Squadcast. Read-only access is free for stakeholder users. Pretty flexible in how each individual can choose how to be notified. I’ve setup almost all my professional and personal contact info in the notification chain. Incident exclusion and alert forwarding is really helpful when you don’t want to be disturbed. Have used this a ton when I go on vacation. Easy to use mobile app. Always works, clean UI that makes it easy on the eyes in the middle of the night.
