Integration Steps

The integration process between Better Uptime and Squadcast:

Navigate through the Squadcast interface to select a specific service and then choose Better Uptime from the Alert Source dropdown.
This action provides a Webhook URL, which is crucial for the next steps in the Better Uptime dashboard.
Here, within the Integrations section under "Exporting data," users are required to configure webhooks by adding the Squadcast Webhook URL to both the Incident and Monitor webhook sections.

This meticulous process ensures a seamless connection between the two platforms, enabling efficient alert management.

Key Features

Upon successful integration, a variety of actions are enabled, enhancing incident response capabilities.

Any alerts generated by Better Uptime—whether pertaining to incidents or monitor status changes—are automatically sent to Squadcast, resulting in the creation of corresponding incidents within Squadcast's environment.
Moreover, when an alert is resolved in Better Uptime, its associated incident in Squadcast is also automatically resolved, streamlining the management process and ensuring that all incidents are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
This automation not only saves time but also minimizes the risk of human error, ensuring a more effective incident response workflow.

We have full control over on-call issues as every user has access to Squadcast. Read-only access is free for stakeholder users. Pretty flexible in how each individual can choose how to be notified. I’ve setup almost all my professional and personal contact info in the notification chain. Incident exclusion and alert forwarding is really helpful when you don’t want to be disturbed. Have used this a ton when I go on vacation. Easy to use mobile app. Always works, clean UI that makes it easy on the eyes in the middle of the night.
