2019 gave us an accelerated product growth and our team grew by 2x in size. We kick-started this year with a complete UI refresh and a whole bunch of new features. We also sponsored some of the major tech events and conducted our first ever community driven meetup!
Among many other additions, here’s a little list of our most exciting features:
We kick-started the year with a complete UI/UX refresh to give our users the best possible view of their critical services and help them respond to incidents faster.
We built Squadcast Actions which lets you take actions like rebuilding your project, rolling back to the previous build, rebooting a server and more as a response to incidents to recover immediately from any customer impacting issue directly from Squadcast.
We added StatusPage as a feature to augment our Incident management platform to help you communicate the status of your services at all times to both your customers and internal teams.
Based on popular request, we added the export feature to our incident timeline which serves as a raw report on all incident resolution activity.
We built our Rules Engine to support deduplication of incidents to reduce alert fatigue, incident tagging to add more context to incidents and added an override functionality to automatically route incidents to a specific responder based on tags.
You can also create postmortem reports with popularly recommended templates from the platform or create your own.
We achieved other major product and feature improvement milestones like 3x-ing our page load speed on both the web and mobile applications, added a subscription option to the StatusPage feature, added the functionality to configure rules for email integration and more.

Some of our major company and community highlights
Going Freemium on 1st October, 2019 to make SRE and modern incident management accessible for companies at any scale and teams of any size. We immediately saw a 4x product adoption with customers from IT, Banking, Telecommunications, Healthcare and more.
On the Events front, we sponsored and participated in some of the most eminent technology conferences for our folks like SREcon Americas, Kubecon EU, SREcon APAC, SREcon EMEA, LISA, Kubecon NA, and a whole lot more!
Our key event highlight in 2019 was conducting our very own, community driven ‘SRE for the Masses’ meetup that saw SREs from Quizizz and Rapido sharing their Product & Reliability journeys.
We kick-started our very own content series, ‘SRE Speak’, an initiative to bust myths around the functioning of SRE as a role, where we aim to help not only aspiring SREs but also those who are completely new to this realm.
